The Instructional League is a two year program designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball, basic rules and major skills while sharing the joy of the game. Coaches will pitch to their own team and serve as umpires for the season. All players will rotate positions and the batting order is round-robin. Practices will begin in mid-April with games starting in early May. The schedule consists of approximately 18 games, ending just after July 4th. Games start at 6:30pm. For the 2008 season, games are played on Mondays and Wednesdays. Since coaches volunteer their time, they will determine the team practice schedule.
