Registration and talent evaluation to take place on May 11th.
Registration and talent evaluation to take place on May 11th.
Traditionally as players move out of the Shoreview Area Youth Baseball program and into the 16-18 yr old age group, they would participate in a VFW (16 yr old) and the American Legion (17/18 yr old) program.
For the 2008 season, SAYB has agreed to begin facilitating the a 16 yr old level and a 17/18 yr old program.
Teams will be made up of players living in or attending school in the 621 district. Current plans are that players will participate in the VFW program at the 16 yr old level, and in the Sr. Babe Ruth Program at the 17/18 yr old age group. Depending on the number of players who register and their talent level, the Board may elect to add additional teams that will participate in a MYAS/Gopher State program.
We recognize that the evaluation will be taking place on Mothers day and have done our best to avoid this conflict. In reviewing the potential dates due to American Legion tryouts, high school game schedules and MYAS league registration dates (if we need to add additional teams), we were left with no other options.
Additional information is posted below. Please check the SAYB website frequently for further details as they become available.
