SAYB hosted our annual Pitch Hit & Run competition in May.  Over 100 players ages 7-14 competed with the top performers advancing to the regional event at CHS Stadium in St. Paul. Three SAYB players swept the All-Around top spot for their age groups at both the local and regional competitions:  Jake DeDominces (7-8 year old), Charlie Allen (9-10) and Luke Morrisette (11-12). 

By winning the regionals, Jake, Charlie & Luke qualified for the PHR competition hosted by the MN Twins at Target Field in June.  Competitors from Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Iowa competed for a chance to go the national finals at the MLB All-Star game in Cincinnati.  Once again, Jake & Luke were crowned champions while Charlie finished as runner up! 

Jake & Luke had a nervous week waiting to find out if there scores were high enough to get them to the All-Star game.  Unfortunately they did not get the call, but it was a great accomplishment for all three players.  Congrats Jake, Charlie & Luke!
