Welcome to all of our new and returning umpires to the 2015 SAYB Baseball Season!

SAYB is pleased to announce that Mitchell Daas will be our new Umpire Scheduler this year. Jim Warnest, the District 2 Little League Director and long time umpire, will serve as our 2015 Umpire Coordinator in charge of training and development.

The 2015 Umpire registration/training will be held at the Shoreview Community Center on Saturday March 28th, 2015, from 11:30 to 1:00 for returning umpires, and from 1:30 to 4:00  for new umpires. There will be additional outdoor training sessions scheduled at a later date.

Umpires 18 years and older will be required to complete an online course in youth sports concussions. See site link below. There is a brief test at the end of the course and a certificate is available upon completion. If over 18 year of age, please bring your certificate to the above mentioned training session.

If you are 13 or older and wish further information about umpiring this upcoming season, please see the SAYB Umpire Page for more information and contact information.

Please plan on attending our upcoming Umpire Training Session for New Umpires. This registration and training session will be held at the Shoreview Community Center on Saturday, March 28th from 1:30pm – 4:00pm. There will be additional outdoor training sessions scheduled at a later date. All are welcome to attend, no previous experience is needed!

Benefits to umpiring with SAYB:

• Earn some extra money (Up to $50.00 per game!)

• Developing communication skills and early work experience
• You set your own schedule (work around vacations, sports, personal activities)
